4-H Middlesex Advisory Council

For the 4-H community of Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Fee Assistance to 4-H Events

Middlesex Advisory Council would like to support our 4H youth in attending 4H events. We have several different scholarships, some based on need, some for leadership events and general conferences, for higher education, and some automatically given for award trips.  Please read the following to determine which category you are interested in.

Financial Need

All requests for assistance in cases of financial need will be considered by the board in a confidential manner. Please feel free to contact us. middlesex4h@msn.com

General 4-H Conferences & Programs

Teen Leadership Events

Teen members who would like to attend 4-H leadership conferences will receive assistance based on the level of participation:

State leadership training events: $50
Regional New England/Northeast US leadership training events: $75

Sometimes the assistance is automatically deducted on the training application form.  If so you would pay the balance.  If not, MAC will reimburse you the above amount.  In either case we ask that you fill out a request for assistance fee form.  We also ask that you send us your impressions/experiences of the event.  The article will be published on this website.

National Award Trips

For county members who have the exciting adventure of being chosen to attend one of the national 4-H conferences or competitions the Middlesex County Advisory Council will provide a $100 award stipend to help with trip costs.  Once the council knows of your selection they will automatically send a check to your home with their congratulations.
