General 4-H Conferences & Programs

New form effective for requests made after 5/18/10

Middlesex Advisory Council would like to support our 4-H youth in attending 4-H events.  Events covered will be open to all 4-Hers not based upon qualifying criteria.  Applicant must agree to write a short article summarizing their experience at the event.  The article will be published on the website http://www.4h-middlesex.org/  and/or submitted for publicity of 4-H events. Personal information will not be published.  An approved photograph of the event may be submitted, however not required.

The Council will base their assistance amount on the enrollment fee and the number of applicants that are requesting assistance. Contributions given will be:
50% of the enrollment fee with a cap based on the following type of event:
                         Local - $25           New England/NorthEast US Region - $75

Application forms received will be acknowledged and contribution amounts will be considered at the next scheduled advisory council meeting. Checks will be distributed following an event once we receive confirmation that you attended.

Teen Leadership Events

Teen members who would like to attend 4-H leadership conferences will receive assistance based on the level of participation:

State leadership training events: $50
Regional New England/Northeast US leadership training events: $75

Sometimes the assistance is automatically deducted on the training application form.  If so you would pay the balance.  If not, MAC will reimburse you the above amount.  In either case we ask that you fill out a request for assistance fee form.  We also ask that you send us your impressions/experiences of the event.  The article will be published on this website.

Any youth who is a member of the Middlesex County 4-H Program is eligible to apply, whether or not he or she resides in Middlesex County.  Members who have previously applied for, but not received, the Scholarship may re-apply, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements. They will be due to the 4-H office by April 15, with the recipient to be notified at the end of May.  With the goal of awarding a scholarship each year, donations are being accepted to fund the program.  What a great way to honor a 4H member’s birthday or graduation by contributing to the fund in their name!  Please make checks out to Middlesex County 4H Scholarship Fund and send to:
